Winner: The Pensions Trust

The work of pension scheme trustees came under the spotlight when The Pensions Trust won the first ever Pensions Management Award for Trustee Excellence.

The Trustees of The Pensions Trust were praised in particular for their commitment to training – they have put a total of 31 people through the PMI's Trustee Certificate.

They also received accolades for their Trust Deed which was described as: "Up-to-date, elegant and beautifully prepared".

The PMI was especially pleased to see the introduction of this new award which recognises the important role played by pension scheme trustees.
