The Pensions Trust announced today that it has appointed Mike Scrowston as its new Head of Finance. Mike joins the Trust’s Senior Management Group and will report directly to Chief Executive, Stephen Nichols. Based in Leeds, Mike will be responsible for managing the Trust’s 15-strong Finance and Business Planning Team.
Commenting on the appointment, Stephen Nichols said: “Mike has a great deal of experience and impeccable credentials, essential attributes for such an important role. As Head of Finance, he will oversee all the financial aspects of our business, making sure that our staff and pensioners get paid and that our Trustee Board complies with tax and accounting regulations. As a member of our Senior Management Group he will help to direct the strategy and operations of the Trust, so that we can continue to offer appropriate and cost effective pension arrangements to our employers and members.”
Before joining The Pensions Trust, Mike was Head of Finance at Scarborough Building Society. He previously worked for the Norwich Union Life Group for 20 years in numerous roles including Director of Corporate Finance and Director of Unit Pricing.
Mike has a degree in Economics from Hull University. He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
