The Pensions Trust's Independent Schools' Pensions Advisory Committee announces election results

The Pensions Trust is pleased to announce the results of the election for the Pensions Advisory Committee of the Independent Schools' Pension Scheme (ISPS). The successful candidates were:

  • Ray Hart – Bursar at Tonbridge School (Employer Nominated Representative, newly elected)
  • Catherin Forrester – Solicitor (Member Nominated Representative, re-elected)

Ray and Catherin will serve for five years from 1 October 2005. At the end of their term, they may either step down or stand for re-election.

The Independent Schools' Final Salary Pension Scheme was set up in September 1996. The Scheme provides pensions and ancillary benefits for non-teaching staff of independent schools throughout the UK.

Biographies of the new and re-elected Committee members

Ray Hart is a School Bursar at Tonbridge School and is responsible for the administration of three pension schemes. Prior to this post, Ray served in the RAF Admin Branch from 1963 to 1994 retiring in the rank of Air Cdre.

Catherin Forrester is a practicing Solicitor with experience of working in the public and commercial sectors and private practice. She is also a former Legal Adviser to the Girls Day School Trust where she was part of the senior management team and gained experience of dealing with educational and personnel issues.
