What did you do before joining The Pensions Trust? Before joining The Pensions Trust I worked for the West Yorkshire Pension Fund. I spent nine years there as a Senior Pensions Officer, working on the Local Government Pension Scheme and the Police and Fire Service Pension Schemes. |
What attracted you into your role?
I have always enjoyed helping people to learn and get a lot of satisfaction from seeing them develop in their roles and progress within the organisation.
What attracted you to join The Pensions Trust?
I wanted the opportunity to work on a broader range of pension schemes and felt that working for The Pensions Trust would provide that experience.
What has been your career path whilst at The Pensions Trust?
I started working for the Trust in September 1999 as an Administrator working on the Social Housing Pension Scheme (SHPS). I then moved to one of the Final Salary Teams and was promoted to Senior Pensions Administrator. Following a period of maternity leave in 2002, I returned to work part time and applied for the position of Learning and Development Coordinator, responsible for the technical training and qualification requirements of the Customer Services Department.
What training have you been through?
Whilst at The Pensions Trust I have completed the A1- NVQ Assessors Award and V1- NVQ Internal Verifiers Award. This means that I am qualified to assess and verify portfolios for candidates studying towards the Qualification in Pensions Administration (QPA).
What do you like about working at The Pensions Trust?
The Pensions Trust is a really friendly place to work. It has a good atmosphere and people take pride in their work. It also offers a very flexible way of working which is ideal for those with family commitments.
