Stephen Nichols - Chief Executive

Stephen is Chief Executive of The Pensions Trust. He joined in January 2002. His varied pension career previously included spells with Lane Clark and Peacock as a trainee actuary, Burmah Castrol plc as Pensions Administration Manager and Express Dairies plc as Pensions Manager.

Stephen was born and educated in Bristol before obtaining a degree in Mathematics at The University of Exeter. Stephen is a Fellow of the Pensions Management Institute, a Member of the Institute of Directors and a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts.

Stephen is primarily responsible for managing the day to day operational activities of the Trust and is the main link between the Board of Trustees and the Trust’s Senior Management Group. He is also responsible for ensuring that the Trust is managed in accordance with the Trust Deed and Rules, formulating the Trust’s investment and business strategy, implementing and monitoring this against agreed measures.
