Stephen Duckworth

A member of The Pensions Trust’s Board since 2005 and Deputy Chair of its Investment Committee, which he chaired from 2006-09. Stephen is a Chartered Accountant and worked until 2002 for the National Housing Federation, the trade body for English housing associations, where he was a director for 20 years, involved principally in housing finance policy and the strategic development of the organisation. Stephen has represented the Federation since 2000 on the Pensions Committee of the Social Housing Pension Scheme.

Previous main employments were KPMG, the National Ports Council, and as Finance Director of a large London housing association. He is currently a board member of an association, was on the board of the Association of Charitable Foundations from 2003-09, and chair two grant-giving trusts. As a church treasurer, Stephen introduced the Growth Plan to staff at his local church.
