Frances Richardson

Frances is Head of Reward for Oxfam and has been responsible for pension arrangements since 2000. These include a Pensions Trust defined benefit scheme, a Stakeholder scheme for new staff, and the Growth Plan for around 100 former staff. Frances became a member of the Growth Plan Employer’s consultative forum in 2008. She recently led a review and staff consultation on changes to Oxfam’s final salary scheme benefits and investment strategy, which reduced cost and risk to the sponsoring employer whilst maintaining good defined benefits for the members.

Frances worked previously as a union Deputy General Secretary, where she was lead spokesperson for Post Office employees and pensioners in consultations with the Post Office Board and pension trustees on pension funding, benefits and governance.  She was a member of the TUC pension committee and a trustee of her organisation’s pension scheme.
