Catherine Howarth

Catherine Howarth is Chief Executive of FairPensions, a charity promoting responsible investment, transparency and good governance in the UK pensions industry.  Previously, she was lead organiser of West London Citizens, a broad-based alliance of community groups, faith organisations, trade unions and ethnic associations.

After leaving university, she spent three years in a think-tank researching and publishing on a range of public policy issues.

She has a First Class degree in Modern History (Oxford University) and a Masters degree in
Industrial Relations (London School of Economics).

Since being elected to the Board of The Pensions Trust she has completed The Pension Regulator’s Trustee Toolkit and passed the Pensions Management Institute’s Award in Pension Trusteeship (DB and DC award).
