SHPS Defined Contribution Projection Calculator v1.0

This calculator can be used by existing members of SHPS and by employees who are contemplating joining the Scheme, whose employer offers the defined contribution benefit structure.

This calculator provides estimates based on assumptions about the future. In using this calculator you accept that such estimates are not guarantees about the future and the benefits that may be provided to you under SHPS. Any estimate provided by this calculator to members or prospective members should therefore be taken to constitute information only and not be taken to constitute advise.

The calculator is quick and easy to use. Simply fill in the required fields and the calculator will then calculate and display the figures for your projection. There are information screens available to explain in more detail the information that you need to supply in each field. If you have any difficulties please contact the SHPS administration team on the usual helpline number.

You should note that the actual pension you will receive will be affected by future changes in interest rates, inflation, investment growth and annuity rates. This means that in order to produce a projection of estimated benefits we need to make some assumptions about the future based on what we know today.
