Death Of A Pensioner
When a pensioner dies we will need to see an original copy of the Death Certificate. This should be sent to the Payroll Department along with a covering letter including the pensioner's Payroll Number and the informant's contact details. Once we have received the Death Certificate we will stop any further payments and assess any further benefits due from the pension scheme. We will then write to the informant giving details of how to claim any further benefits (if applicable).
